General Information
Zimriya Venue – The Campus of the Hebrew University, JerusalemThe Campus of the Hebrew University is located on Mount Scopus overlooking Old and New Jerusalem. The beautiful campus has an amphitheater, many air-conditioned halls, a concert hall, pleasant dormitories, a number of cafeterias, coffee shops, a post office, a bank and various shops. The Zimriya will take place during the University’s vacation. Participants will be accommodated in rooms with two beds. Bedding is provided.
Tours
All choirs will participate in sightseeing tours of Jerusalem and the North or South of Israel. Choirs will perform at different locations in Israel.
Weather
It is hot in Israel in July-August. Average temperature is 18 C – 28 C. Please bring hats and sunglasses.
Zimriya Program
Workshops will take place twice a day at the Hebrew University Campus, Mount Scopus, and Jerusalem.
Each evening there will be Open Singing of songs from various countries.
All choirs will perform in Choir-to-Choir Singing presenting a program of 20 minutes each.
Public concerts will be held in Jerusalem and other cities throughout Israel. All works studied in workshops will be presented in concerts at the end of the Zimriya.
Conditions of Participation
Cost
The cost of participation is US $ 475 per person, for participation from the afternoon of 30 July to the morning of 9 August 2007.
This fee covers:
• Lodging in rooms of two, bedding provided
• Three meals per day (10 nights)
• One full day excursion
• Guided tour of Jerusalem
• Program Book
• Admission to the Concerts & the Workshops
Arrival & Departure transfers are not included. Buses for groups from and to the airport may be booked in advance.
Approximate price: US $200.- per bus each way.
Registration
Per Choir: A non-refundable Registration Fee of US $500.- is requested with the registration of the choirs, by 30 March 2007.
Per Individuals: A non-refundable Registration Fee of US $100.- is requested with the registration of any individual, by 30 March 2007.
Deposit
Choirs & Individuals: On acceptance, participants are requested to pay a deposit of US $150.- per person. Deposits must reach Israel by 1 June 2007.
The balance will be paid on arrival (Registration Fees will be credited).
Deposits will not be returned in case of cancellation after 1 July 2007.
Money Transfer
Payment in US Dollars or equal amount in Euro can be made:
(a) In one check per choir made out to ZIMRIYA.

Time Table
• Registration by 30 March 2007

Applications
* Choirs are requested to apply on Registration Form by 30 March 2007
* Participants must be over 14 years of age
* Participants must be able to read music
Applications should be accompanied by a non refundable Registration Fee of
US $500 per choir.
An audio or videotape (PAL), (Broadcasting quality if available), pictures, CDs, details and published references of musical activities, repertoires and reviews are requested.
Translation into English will be appreciated.
Choirs will state preference of workshops on the application form.
The ZIMRIYA Music Committee will screen all applications and inform choirs by 1st May 2007 of their acceptance and the workshop to which they have been assigned.
On acceptance a deposit of US $ 150 per participant will be required.
